THE LISTENING LOUNGE

The Listening Lounge aims to support islanders with their mental health and wellbeing. Our team of counsellors and peer workers provide a range of different support options which can all be accessed free of charge and without the need for a referral.

We are open from 10am until 10pm, 7 days a week.

Due to restrictions in place relating to Covid-19, we are unable to provide support on a walk-in basis. We are currently appointment based only, with appointments available in-person, online or by phone. Simply call us to book or for more information on 866793.

We are located at Charles House, Charles Street, St Helier, JE24SF (access via Ingouville Place).

Chat with a Peer Worker

We know there is such value in sharing experiences. Our peers have all faced a problem with their own mental health at some stage and have unique insights into the challenges that may arise, strategies that could help, and can share their own recovery journeys.

Self Refer for Counselling

You're able to self-refer to our counselling service by completing a short form. We then arrange an initial assessment for you with one of our counselling team. Following this, if we are an appropriate service to support you, you can meet with your counsellor on an individual basis, usually at weekly intervals for up to six sessions.

If an alternative service will be best placed to support you, your counsellor will discuss these options with you. We're able to refer to several other services.

Access Online Therapy

We lead increasingly busy lives and it can be difficult to find the time to look after our mental wellbeing. SilverCloud provides a flexible, accessible and convenient solution that you can access online or via the SilverCloud app.

There's a range of different programmes available so you can access information that's relevant to you. Each programme can be accessed as a self-help tool or as a supported option, where you're in touch with one of the team along the way.

Get Information

If you'd like information about mental health or other services that could support you, drop in and speak with one of the team.

We work collaboratively with many other agencies in Jersey and have information and leaflets available.
